Ventas Japón: Media Create Semana 31, 2018 (30 Jul - 5 Ago)

El restock de esta semana de Octopath Traveler tiene toda la pinta de ser menor que la semana anterior. El próximo envío grande está previsto para el lunes 13 de Agosto, que es justo cuando empiezan las fiestas del Obon y por consecuente una subida en las ventas.
Por lo que la semana 32, las ventas de Octopath caerán, pero la 33 volverán a subir.

Lo de Square Enix con este juego, será digno de estudio en el futuro.

Y miedo me da que manden al baul la licencia como tantas otras a lo largo de su historia que han dado el pelotazo sorpresa para pasar directamente a la nevera infinita.

No sera la primera vez. Aun me acuerdo lo del TWEWY

One franchise making the transition to the Nintendo Switch is the Yo-Kai Watchseries. It’s incredibly popular in Japan and the fourth entry in the franchise should do particularly well on the Nintendo’s latest platform this winter. New information on the game has appeared in the latest edition of CoroCoro. Here’s what was revealed:
 
More Than One Protagonist – Players can freely control Natsume, Keita, and Shin, the protagonists of the three worlds. Additionally, other characters that appear in the Shadowside anime are also playable.
 
Battle System Evolved: Humans Join In – The battle system of Yo-kai Watch 4 is completely different from previous games. Human characters like Keita and Natsume will participate and work together with their yo-kai companions.
 
A Fourth World – There is one more world outside of the three worlds that make up the setting of this adventure. A “fourth world” only in Yo-kai Watch 4 also seems to exist. The key to opening the door to this fourth world may be the Yo-kai Ark.

Las próxima dos semanas la ps4 para mantenerse por arriba del 2017 debe hacer 20.5 igual las siguientes semanas siguientes la ps4 vendía entre 22 a 26 mil semanal y casos puntuales 29 30 mil, sera interesante esa batalla bastante cerrada en los próximos meses.

Semana con muchos nuevos lanzamientos pero todos con ventas discretas.

Hoy 13 de lunes empiezan las fiestas del Obon, que se prolongan hasta el 19 de Agosto. Semana que aumentan las ventas.
Sin embargo, el envío de Octopath Traveler todavía no ha llegado y todo parece apuntar que el juego se perderá la semana de aumento de ventas. Ha pasado un mes desde el lanzamiento y Square no ha podido aún solucionar el problema.

Se basa en el análisis de los rankings de ventas de Best Buy, Amazon y Gamestop comparado con su histórico y los datos de NPD ponderándolos de manera que se pueda inferir de forma lo más cercana posible que consola ha vendido más.

 

 

 

No son más que datos aproximativos sin ninguna validez a mayores de la que uno quiera darle, pero en los meses anteriores sí valieron para aproximar tendencias de que consolas estaban vendiendo mejor, y según lo que vemos ahora, es que parece que más que haber subido las ventas de Switch, han caído en picado las de PS4 una vez se terminó la promoción que hubo de la misma en Junio.

 

Casi sin temor a equivocarme pondría la mano en el fuego a que Switch ha ganado el NPD de Julio. De hecho subo la apuesta, y si Switch no gana el mes de Julio en USA, cancelo la cuenta     

 

Se puede ver, como PS4 vendió bastante más en el trimestre anterior, lo que concuerda con los datos de NPD, pero la tendencia cambió totalmente una vez la oferta de PS4 terminó. Cada vez parece más claro el porqué de las previsiones de Nintendo de 20 millones vs las de 17 de Sony.

 

Que Switch venderá a nivel mundial este año más que PS4, es algo que solo los no informados detenidamente de la situación actual de ambas consolas pueden no opinar así.

Refloto el hilo para comentar esto.. más que nada porque había apostado que cancelaba la cuenta así que...         (Es fácil hacer este tipo de apuestas cuando se juega con cartas marcadas por otra parte, así que mérito cero...)

Pues eso, que ya ha salido las primeras estimaciones de ventas en USA de NPD y como había anticipado (EDIT: mejor dicho, los datos habían anticipado, no yo), ha ganado Switch (los datos definitivos en un par de días, pero ya se han filtrado estos).

Por bastante margen además. Eso no quiere decir nada, igual que no quería decir los meses anteriores. Simplemente al final las herramientas que se usan para inferir datos, aunque no valen para tener datos reales, si valen para saber las tendencias futuras.

Y el otro comentario que quería dejar, es que si las compañías hacen unas previsiones, en general, suele ser por algo.

Si Sony ha dicho que 17 millones para este año, y Nintendo 20... aunque pueden equivocarse +- 1 o 2 millones arriba o abajo, tampoco van a equivocarse mucho en el 90% de las veces (siempre hay excepciones y vienen motivadas por otros intereses, no porque las compañías no sean conscientes de ellas). Hay porqués de esas previsiones para ambas compañías, y tienen que ver con análisis que distan mucho de ver los datos individuales de unos meses u otros.

Tambien decir, que es el mejor Julio para una consola en toda la generación... para que veais como se puede cambiar la tendencia de un mes a otro.

También notar que Switch ha subido un 18% sus ventas de un año a otro. Y PS4 bajado un 15%.

Repito, esto no quiere decir nada, es solo para que la gente deje de hacer análisis cortoplacistas como se hacen contínuamente en este tipo de hilos.
