Asphalt Urban GT
Feel the Magic: XY/XX
Madden NFL 2005
Metroid Prime: Hunters (demo bundled with the DS)
Mr. Driller Drill Spirits
Ping Pals
PictoChat (built-in)
Rayman DS
Ridge Racer DS
Spider-Man 2
Super Mario 64 DS
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005
The Urbz: Sims in the City

One of the very first titles Nintendo revealed for the Nintendo DS platform back at the Electronic Entertainment Expo was Super Mario 64 x4, a multiplayer conversion of one of the most successful 3D platformers ever made.

The game has officially received a namechange to Super Mario 64 DS, dropping the x4 from the title that represented the four player mode. But that doesn't mean the game won't have multiplayer connectivity...in fact, that's one of the game's main focus.
But the big deal is the enhancement of the single player adventure. Yes, it's a conversion of the original Nintendo 64 game. But there have been some modifications to the gameplay to incorporate all four different characters into the single player mode. Not only is Mario playable here, but so is Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario...and each character has his own strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. Yoshi, for example, can eat enemies and turn them into throwable eggs. Wario can break objects that no other character can. And Luigi can jump the highest out of the quartet, which will come in handy to reach those hard-to-leap areas. It will be important to switch between the characters to collect all 150 stars.

That's right, the game now has 30 more stars to earn than the original Nintendo 64 game. The Nintendo DS version will also feature several minigame challenges that utilize the touch sensitive screen.

Of course, the big addition is the four player battle mode, and just as it was announced back at E3, this battle mode will only require one copy of the game for all four players.

Detalles de Rayman Ds

Ubisoft is bringing Rayman back to the gaming scene in Rayman DS an adventure that will utilize the system's capabilities in its design. Rayman was a launch title for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, and Ubisoft intends to do the same thing with the Nintendo DS.

In development at Ubisoft's Montreal studio, the DS version of Rayman will feature 3D platforming action in 45 different areas. Levels will progress through areas such as waterfalls, sea caves, and pirate hideouts. Levels will put Rayman's unique abilities to use: running, jumping, skiing, swimming, and flying...as well as flying rockets and riding whirlwinds are all part of a days work for our hero.
On the DS, players will be able to monitor their progress, track their collected Lums, and keep an eye on Rayman's health on the bottom touch screen.

Watch for a release of Rayman DS close to the launch of the system in November.

Detalles de Ridge Racer DS

Namco is producing a Nintendo DS version of Ridge Racer to take advantage of the special features that the unique system offers to gamers and developers.

Scheduled as a launch title for the system in the US, Ridge Racer DS, in development at Nintendo's NST studio, features a total of 20 racetracks in three different locations, including the familiar Ridge Racer cityscape, the Northwest course from Riger Racer Revolution, and a sunny desert in the Southwest.
The game will utilize the lower screen for direct analog steering of the vehicles via the touch sensitive panel. The game will also feature wireless connectivity for as many as six player competitions.

Detalles de Crush

Ubisoft's shooting a large load of gaming on the Nintendo DS this year. Its third game for the dual screen handheld is a dating-style game with the tentative title, Crush. Unlike Sega's Feel the Magic: XY/XX, Crush is from both the male and female perspective.

Developed by Ubisoft and Guillemot, Crush will feature unique gaming elements where players must engage in risque, daring adventures with sexy singles in a Colorado ski resort: Snowbird Mountain. Here, you'll have the option to be naughty or nice in this adventure. Whatever you say or do will affect your performance in challenges like "The Sketchy Ex-Boyfriend," "Secret Admirer," "First Kiss," "Hot Chick Scavenger Hunt," "In Da Hunt," and "The Ski Lift."
There are more than fifty different missions in Crush for both male and female roles, and the fact that there are two different adventures for both the men and the women means it's an equal opportunity dating game.

Detalles de Advance Wars

Nintendo has unveiled first details on a new NDS entry in the Advance Wars series of strategy titles.

The game will utilize the DS's dual screen setup for its strategy battles. During battle, the top screen will show air-based maps with the bottom screen showing ground-based maps. Nintendo states that this system will allow for added strategic opportunities as players can choose to attack from the air, proceed on the ground, and so-forth. Other uses of the twin screens may be included as well.
Outside of dual screen support, the game will offer some improvements over the Advance Wars formula that has been successful in previous titles. In Advance Wars, players are able to select a general from a large set of pre-set characters. Based on the selected general, the abilities of your army change. New to the series with this entry is a "General Tag" system where players select two generals and can switch between them in the middle of the mission. Doing so will be an important part of strategy.

The game will also include some new modes, exclusive to the DS. Look forward to the regulars like a Campaign Mode in which you progress through a story, a Trial Mode in which you take part in a quick battle and a Survival Mode in which you clear missions by fulfilling preset requirements. Also included is a Combat Mode which makes use of the DS's touch-panel support for control; details on this mode will have to wait until a future update.

WiFi play will also be included allowing for multiple players to play together. The number of players and other details on multiplayer gameplay will be revealed shortly.

Detalles de Mr Diller

Just about a week ago, Namco's Japan studio ripped the lid off of Mr. Driller for the DS. The game is indeed coming to the US this November, close to, if not on the system's launch day of November 21st.

The DS version of Mr. Driller will have modes of play that will take advantage of the system's unique features. The game will span both screens, with the player controlling Mr. Driller on the lower screen -- the upper screen is utilized to show just how far you've drilled...and any hazards that might be in the way up there. The game is controlled via stylus, with the player tapping the screen in the direction they want Mr. Driller to drill.
The DS version will feature the standard Mr. Driller modes of play, including Pressure Mode and Time Attack and Race modes. It will also feature wireless connectivity with other Nintendo DS systems; as many as five players can compete against each other for a race to the bottom of the pit.

Detalles de Asphalt Urban GT

Along with the company's release of Rayman DS, Ubisoft will also be offering Nintendo DS owners an original racing game, Asphalt Urban GT.

The game, produced by Ubisoft's wireless studio Gameloft, will feature more than 20 different, licensed cars from such makers as Lamborghini, Jaguar, Hummer, Volkswagen, Audi, and others. There will be nine tracks inspired by real-world locations, including New York City, Miami, Paris, and more.
The action will primarily take place on the upper screen, featuring 3D graphics and three distinct camera angles. There's even a replay feature so players can relive specific moments in the race. The lower screen will provide details on the player's progress, as well as strategic options that will give players the advantage against their track rivals.

Players will have the option of tweaking their vehicles with more than thirty different options to squeeze out as much performance as possible.

As many as four players will be able to compete via the Nintendo DS' wireless connectivity. There will be a Single Race option, as well as a Championship Mode for multiplayers. Also included is a Cop Chase for two player "cat and mouse" style gameplay.

Watch for a release of Asphalt Urban GT this November.

Detalles de Yakuman

The good news: Nintendo has an all new NDS game in development featuring its all-star cast of characters getting together for party-based fun. The bad news: it's a mahjong game.

Yakuman is the game in question here. This Nintendo-developed mahjong title follows up on the company's Yakuman Advance, adding DS features like stylus support and wireless play for up to four players. This alone should catch the eye of Mahjong fans.
Nintendo fans will have something to look forward to as well. The mahjong pieces used in the game have Nintendo characters mapped to them. Even better, the players you can choose from as your in-game counterparts are all from the Mario series.

Nintendo is targeting beginner mahjong players with the title. Those with little knowledge of the game will be stepped through the process in typical Nintendo fashion. Advanced players will also find something to like here, with the popular modes of play from Yakuman Advance being preserved for this game.

If you've ever dreamed of putting Koopa, Luigi, Wario and Mario against one another in a game of mahjong, this could be the title you're looking for. A stateside release is doubtful for the game, though, so make it your first NDS import come launch day.
